Wanneer een graaf op nogal onorthodoxe wijze om het leven komt, dient zijn positie te worden overgenomen door zijn zoon Jack. De familie is hier niet zo blij mee, aangezien Jack al jaren in een psychiatrische instelling vertoeft en hij het idee heeft dat hij de tweede Jezus Christus is. Toch krijgt Jack de functie, maar zijn zwaar Christelijke inslag blijkt niet te werken in een 'normale' maatschappij waar vrede en liefde als een soort zwakheden worden gezien.
